Learning Sales the Right Way: Tips from Jesus and the IDEAS System

Sales isn’t just about making money. It’s about making the right choices. Every person selling something has faced tough decisions. Should they push for more profit? How can they talk about a product without stretching the truth? How do they treat people from different backgrounds? And how can they balance work with personal life?

These aren’t just ideas to think about; they’re real challenges. This is where the IDEAS Sales System I came up with can help. It’s all about understanding and helping others. But even with a good system, there are tough questions:

  • What is a fair price? When does making money become unfair?
  • How can we talk about products without lying?
  • How do we treat all our customers well, even if they’re different from us?
  • How can we do well in sales and still have time for ourselves and our families?

I talk about these questions in my book, “The Master Salesman: Jesus and the Art of Service.” The book shows how Jesus’ teachings can help salespeople. Think about it: Jesus believed strongly in his message, and he wanted to share it with everyone. In sales terms, he believed in his “product” and his “industry.” Using the Triad of Belief, we can see how important it is to believe in what we’re selling, our company, and ourselves. Jesus was great at sharing his beliefs with people, making him a top-notch “salesman.”

Using the IDEAS Sales System, we can learn to introduce, listen, understand, adapt, and serve. Selling is really about helping people.

I’ve had my struggles, like everyone else. Sometimes it’s hard to always believe and do the right thing.
